History of Electric Lift

Electric stair lift is a means of transport more focused to carriage person with the direction sloping from ground floor sloping to the top floor. The slope standard of electric stair lift is between 30-35 degrees. With a slope of more than 10 degrees had been stair lift category.

Long electric stair lift is adapted to the needs, for a width of approximately 60 cm, for 2 people around 100-120 cm. Engine is located under the floor stair lift. Because each segment consists of stair case can be set to move forward or backward.

In the year 1899, Charles D. Seeberger joined the Otis Elevator Co. company. From him created name escalator (which was created by combining the word scale, which in Latin means the steps (step), with the Elevator). The joint Seeberger and Otis has been the first escalator step type escalator to the public, and the electric stair lift or escalator was installed at the Paris Exhibition in 1900 and won the first prize. Mr. Seeberger sold his patent rights to Otis in 1910.

Straight and Curved Electric Stair Lift
In the development, the Japanese company Mitsubishi Electric Corporation successfully developed a spiral escalator or spiral electric stair lift (in fact more likely to warp / curve of a circle / spiral) and exclusively sold since mid-1980. This spiral escalator was installed in Osaka, Japan in 1985.
