Sami Yusuf Biography

Sami Yusuf was born in July 1980 in Tehran, Iran, but he grew up in London, UK. Sami is a practicing Muslim who sees songs as a means of promoting the message of Islam and encouraging the youth to be proud of their religion and identity.
Sami learned to play several instruments at a very young age and gradually began to show a keen interest in singing and composing. He studied under several composers who had graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London.
As Sami mentions in his interviews, at the age of sixteen, he was spiritually awakened. He wanted to leave music and do something for Islam. He even thought about joining Law School as an alternative, but his friend Bara Kherigi persuaded him otherwise. In 2003 he started working on Al Mu`alim (The Teacher), his first album. Sami and his friends started their company or foundation by the name of Awakening which produces musical products all over the world. Sami can speak fluent English, Persian and Azeri, Sami has also performed many songs in Arabic, Urdu and Turkish. His song "supplication" was used in the soundtrack of the film The Kite Runner.
Sami Yusuf has performed in the UK, Middle East, United States, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Azerbaijan, Sudan, Germany, France, Holland, Turkey, Belgium, Morocco, Algeria, Austria and many other countries. He has also released six music clips.

World's Fastest Cars 2010

While most of us can only dream of owning the fastest car in the world, some will do whatever it takes to possess such speed and power. So, how fast are the fastest cars in the world?

Bugatti is number 1 once again.

1. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport: Limited top speed of 257.87 mph (415 km/h), which means it can do more. 0-60 mph (0-100km/h) in 2.4 seconds, 1200 hp (882 kW) and maximum torque 1500 Nm. Engine: 8.0 litres W16 with Quad Turbo. Originally Italian, today owned by VAG Group - Germany.

2. SSC Ultimate Aero: Top speed 256.15 mph (412.23 km/h), 0-60 mph in 2.78 secs.1287 hp and 1112 Nm torque. Engine: 6.4 litres V8 with Twin Turbo. (Pictures are not current, but very close to latest model) Born in the USA.

3. Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition: Top speed 250 mph (400 km/h), 0-60 mph in 2.9 secs. 910 hp and 1100 Nm torque. Engine: 4.7 litres V8 with Twin Turbo. Swedish road rocket.

4. Gumpert Apollo: Top speed 224 mph (360 km/h), 0-60 mph in 3.1 secs. 650 hp and 850 Nm torque. Engine: 4.2 litres V8 with Twin Turbo. It is not pretty but it has lapped the 14-mile Nordschliefe in 7m 11.57s, so it is fast on track. Made with german precision.

5. Pagani Zonda R: Top speed 220 mph (350 km/h), 0-60 mph in 2.7 secs. 750 hp and 710 Nm torque. Engine: 6 litres V12. Italian beauty with beast under the bonnet. If you compare Pagani Zonda models to each other like chicken wing sauce, this would be 'suicide'.

6. Ascari A10: Top speed 220 mph (350 km/h), 0-60 mph in 2.8 secs. 625 hp and 560 Nm torque. Engine: 5 litres V8. It's mean and british.

It is not Lada, Gaz, Uaz or Volga. It is new russian supercar Marussia.

Full of high-tech gadgets, 3.5L V6, 300 hp (can be upgraded to 420 hp), 0-60mph in 5 seconds, top speed over 155mph (250km/h), rear wheel drive and 6-speed automatic. You might think that's not much from a supercar, but this car is designed to manage as well as on track and in the city traffic. And, take a look how it looks! It is just awesome!
Marussia B2 is a innovative project on creation of the "modular" car with replaceable bodies. The car shows the success of the idea on manufacture of unique, various and distinct models on the basis of a universal platform. Creation of original body of Marussia В2 required only 36 days. There is also extra-light version available which is made only of aluminium and kevlar (850kg).
