The Largest Pair of Jeans Ever

Guinness World Record for sewing the largest pair of blue jeans celebrated on Friday, one day after cranes buckled while trying to lift the giant 7.5-tonne pants.

Workers laid the pair on the ground and put big balloons inside the legs to show off the size of the jeans, which are 141 feet (43 m) tall and 98 feet (30 m) wide.

They have pockets, red buttons and a brown belt.

On Thursday, disillusioned crane operators gave up trying to lift the pants with three machines and went looking for a fourth. They wanted to lift the pants to display them. On Friday, workers had to scrap the idea of hoisting the jeans altogether.

The Colombian city of Medellin currently holds the record for the world’s largest pair of jeans, which is measured by size, according to the clothing company that organized the event in San Juan de Lurigancho, a district full of textile plants east of the Peru’s capital, Lima.

The previous Guinness record hold is Colombian pair and it were 114 feet (35 m) tall by 82 feet (25 m) wide.

The company’s chief executive said material from the pants will be cut to make backpacks for area school children.

Imagine your hair shaping into an incredible portrait! Sounds a little difficult to gulp down your throat, right. But, a 66-year-old has been doing this miracle for the last 54 years. Just five simple tools and a magnifying glass is all Zhang Dexuan requires to weave strands of human hair into stunning portraits. Slightly bigger than a fingernail, the portraits require weeks, sometimes months of work to achieve perfection.

How does this Chinese artist convert hair strands as thin as 0.5 mm into an artwork more than 10-cm-thick? Zhang first creates a blueprint more than 100 times larger and then selects the best hair stand to make the portrait. He then spends months weaving each individual strand of hair. This ancient art type demands breathe controlling, so that the delicate hair doesn’t break and this ingenious artist pulls it off quite gracefully.

On average, he ends up picking just one hair out of 10,000 examined strands. He has already weaved portraits of actor Jackie Chan, American president Barrack Obama and the Mona Lisa using this extraordinary art. Zhang claims he is the only hair weaving artist on Earth.

Have you ever been in a house that had a bathroom where all the walls were mirrors? Man I love those.
You get to see yourself in like 1000 positions. What’s coolest is when you’re angled so that it looks
like there is an infinite amount of you. You know, where it looks like it goes on forever.

With the right angles and equipment you can easily create this effect through photography. Though
I’m not quite sure of the literal term for these kinds of photos I just assume call it
“infinite photography.” However if you search that phrase none of these pictures will come up in
the results.

In any event, I’m glad I was able to find 20 pictures that I would deem “infinite.”
